Welcome Breeder!

I am excited to introduce myself and my comprehensive puppy training program, designed to help your clients build a solid foundation for their new furry family members.

All About Me & My Programs

As a Fear Free certified professional, a member of the Pet Professional Guild, certified by CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed), and Good Citizen Dog, I bring a wealth of positive knowledge and expertise to the table. In addition, I spend time every year studying and staying up to date on the latest in dog training techniques and information to teach happy, healthy dogs! I never apply the use of shock or prong collars for "quick fixes. I am dedicated to helping your puppy get off on the right start in their new home using positive reinforcement methods that instill confidence and a well-rounded temperament.

I recognize and appreciate that a solid foundation and good socialization begins with you. As a breeder, you are the first to build good socialization skills and temperaments into each and every puppy that you dedicate your time to. Once your puppy leaves your home and goes to their new home, socialization and training should not stop there. If not properly socialized and trained from the beginning, it is much more difficult to correct and re-establish these skills. For many new dog owners, this can be an overwhelming process, and they may not realize the time and effort it takes to get off on the right start at home. Not everyone has the time or knowledge required to achieve this goal. As you know, the first few months of a puppy's life are critical, with several pivotal growth, socialization, and fear periods all happening before 18 weeks old. This period requires continuous supervision and guidance to help them navigate changes, including crate training, potty training, and exploration.

That is where I come in with my Board and Train Programs. First and foremost, I am not your typical board and train. Every dog that comes into one of our programs is integrated into our household as a member of our family. I make sure not to overbook myself with too many puppies at once, allowing me to give each one the full attention needed to grow into a confident, trusting, and well-mannered dog. I take the time, dedication, and love needed to successfully build a strong and engaging relationship. I will train both your clients and your puppies on how to build a strong, engaging relationship. All the puppies I take into my home are treated as part of the family, receiving individualized time, attention, and the opportunity to develop the skills to keep them mentally challenged and engaged. They are never punished with fearful methods and are taught how to react and behave using positive reinforcement.

I take extensive measures to ensure each puppy is placed in safe environments, avoiding any harmful situations or unnecessary health risks. We steer clear of pet stores and dog parks where they might be exposed to Parvo. The health and safety of the dogs in my care are my top priorities while also balancing their need for socialization at a young age. They are exposed to various new sights and different situations, ensuring they grow up to be well-adjusted. I teach each puppy to remain calm in various situations, fostering a balanced temperament. I have dedicated my life to my dogs and the program I have developed, and I continue to seek additional knowledge to incorporate into my training programs. When it is raining outside, I am the one playing with the puppies in the pouring rain, training and doing basic commands to ensure that these dogs are not afraid of a thunderstorm and are willing to go out in the rain to go potty.

Mental enrichment is a crucial part of my program. Physical exercise alone isn't sufficient for a happy and healthy dog. I am dedicated to providing daily mental stimulation through various enrichment toys like puzzle feeders, snuffle mats, wobble bowls, scent games, food hide-and-seek, and exposing them to new smells and different sounds in a positive environment. This approach helps each dog develop mental fortitude, natural problem-solving skills, and ensures they have fun!

Additionally, I consider each dog's unique personality and create enjoyable activities tailored to their preferences. By incorporating games like play, chase, water play, and other activities suited to each puppy's personality, we not only have fun but also nurture and develop their individual traits. This approach helps foster their natural personality while providing engaging and enjoyable experiences.

I provide the perfect launchpad to help each puppy navigate changes while teaching them important life skills. I am dedicated to ensuring that every puppy not only meets but exceeds their potential, becoming a well-behaved, confident, and happy companion. Partner with me to provide your clients with the best start for their new puppies.

I select breeders who demonstrate a commitment to producing healthy, high-quality puppies and have taken the necessary steps to ensure the well-being and happiness of their dogs. I limit my recommendations to only 1-2 breeders per breed of dog whom I trust and will recommend to my clients. All of your clients will receive a 20% discount off the board and a training program of their choosing, as well as free support once they take their puppy home.

Please feel free to contact me for more details or to discuss how we can work together.

Warm Regards,

Melissa McNally
